Carol Ann Brownlee Key, of Bossier City, passed from this life January 25, 2019 at age 78 after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L.\"C.L\" Key, son, Timothy Key, and twin daughters, Kay and Gay Key. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Todd and husband, Mike, her granddaughter, Paige Dent, and her precious great grandchildren, Katelyn, Connor, and Jace Lovett. Also surviving her are her brother, Robert \"Bob\" Brownlee, wife Gay, and daughter, Blaire of Spring, TX.
Born December 21, 1940, Carol, formerly of Tyler, TX, was a resident of Shreveport-Bossier since 1962. She had spent approximately 20 years before retirement in the plant and flower business, which she enjoyed immensely and was extremely knowledgeable of. Many people returned to her each spring season for her help and camaraderie. Carol was a fantastic Southern cook; and she enjoyed making holidays special for her family.
Before his death, Carol and C.L. were blessed with 61 years of marriage. They enjoyed gardening together, and harmonizing when he played guitar and sang. They loved garage sales and found many \"treasures\" along the way. They were true soulmates. Carol was a treasurer for The Church of God of Prophecy, where her husband was a deacon.
Services will be held at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel, Saturday, February 2,2019 at 1pm, with visitation preceding the service from 11:30am-1pm. Burial will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery in north Bossier.
