Carol Sue Powell

Funeral services for Carol "Sue" Powell, 82, will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City, Louisiana. Reverend Scotty Gibson will be officiating the service. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sue was born January 15, 1939 in De Ridder, Louisiana to Mark and Ethel Galloway Guess and passed away in her home in Haughton, Louisiana on June 11, 2021. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother has left her family to cherish her memory. As an active member of Haughton Baptist Church, Sue was a lady of faith, grace, integrity, and strength. She will be truly missed. Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Ronald Neal Powell, Sr.; parents; and brother, Tommy Guess. She left behind four children, Ronald Powell, Jr. and wife, Janice, Donna Peters and husband, Donnie, Jay Powell and wife, Billie Jo; and Russell Powell and wife, Rae; grandchildren, Jay, Nathen, Brooke, Ryan, Jeff, Emily, Peyton, Justin, and Brent; 15 great-grandchildren; and brother, Jackie Guess and wife, Carolyn. Honoring Sue as pallbearers will be Ronnie Powell, Jay Powell, Russell Powell, Spencer Powell, Ryan Powell, and Donnie Peters.
