Carol Coleman Rodgers, 82, passed from this life January 25, 2018 after battling dementia for several years. Celebration of her life will be held Monday, January 29, 15 Rose-Neath Southside at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Plain Dealing Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Carol was born June 29, 1935 in Shreveport, LA to Emma Lee Coleman. She retired after 25 years of service from AT&T where she was "mom" to her coworkers. Her favorite pastimes were her family and watching the squirrel and birds eat and play in her yard.
Carol was preceded in death by her mother; brothers, Maxwell and Calvin Coleman; and son, Thomas Dean Walton.
She is survived by her "Main Man," James Rodgers; children, Mark and Sandi Walton, Lee Ann Lawson and friend Carolynn Morris, Jamie and Brad Coody; brother, Jon and Cissy Coleman; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Alex Walton, Wesley Rodgers, Jordan Matthews, Mike Coleman, Chris Bell, and Brian Fontenot. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Mitchell, Tim White, and Steve Coleman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
