Caroline Sue Coats

Funeral services for Caroline Sue Coats, 75, will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Brother Todd Andrews.

Caroline was born October 12, 1947 in Jackson Parish, Louisiana to C.E. and Oleta McMillan, and went to be with the Lord on November 26, 2022 in Hallsville, Texas.

She had a deep sense of family with an interest in each other’s happiness and welfare. She was a dedicated and committed mother and was always there when she was needed. She was loved deeply and will be missed terribly.

Caroline is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Coats; brothers, Lavelle McMillan and Dale McMillan; and grandson, Adam Richard Coats. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Dwain Coats and wife, Jennifer of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Mark Coats of Krum, Texas and Darin Coats of Texarkana, Texas; grandchildren, Amanda Embler and husband, David, Ashley Leathers and husband, Lewis, Jacob Coats, Allison Coats, and Colby Coats; great-grandchildren, Addison Langford and in the near future, Luna Leathers; and sisters, Joyce Williamson and husband, Bubba of Rayville, Louisiana and Laverne Winstead of Edwards, Mississippi.

Honoring Caroline as pallbearers will be Ronnie Williamson, Devin Carroll, Colby Coats, James “JimBob” Carter and Austin Vanetten.
