Carolyn Ruth Ambrose

SHREVEPORT, LA - A Celebration of Life for Carolyn Ruth Ambrose, 71, will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 7, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, Shreveport, LA. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Harry Forester. Carolyn was born on May 14, 1944 in Shreveport, LA to Edgar W. and Billie R. Brow and passed away on December 2, 2015. She retired after 28 years in mortgage banking. She was also a long time member of Emanuel Baptist Church. She was incredibly strong and determined and was very devoted to her family. She loved to travel with her husband, eat out, and enjoyed celebrating the holidays. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 50 years Charles Ambrose. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Greene and husband, Stephen, grandson, Adam Greene, all of Tyler, TX; brother, Bo Brow and wife, Jan of Shreveport, LA; sisters, Lisa Brow and husband, Bruce Crow of Shreveport, LA and Lu Brow of New Orleans, LA; nephew, Marc Brow and wife Lindsey and son Aiden of Stonewall, LA. Honoring Carolyn will be Bo Brow, Stephen Greene, Bruce Crow, Ronnie Lambeth, Rex Loyer, and Ken Straughn. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to Caddo Council on Aging Home Delivered Meals, 1700 Buckner Street, Suite 240, Shreveport, LA 71101.
