Carolyn Watson Beaird, 91, of Granbury, Texas, formerly of Shreveport, Louisiana, went home to be with Jesus on September 16, 2020, surrounded by her family that loved her so dearly. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Stonewater Church in Granbury, TX on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 3 pm. Graveside Services will be Monday, September 21, 2020 at 2 pm at Forest Park Cemetery West, Shreveport, Louisiana. Carolyn was born on July 12, 1929 in Homer, Louisiana to Jasper and Elma Averett Watson. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Homer, Louisiana. After graduating from Louisiana Tech, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega, she was married to Robert Hart and lived in Blanchard, Louisiana, where she raised four children. On July 19, 1980 she married Glen Cleveland Beaird and resided in Shreveport, where she was a bookkeeper for Caddo Parish School Board for 21 years. After retirement, she and Glen enjoyed traveling the country with their beloved little dog, "Holly Lou". They were members of Blanchard Baptist Church. They moved to Granbury, Texas in September 2007 with family where they attended Stonewater Church. She was preceded in death not only by her parents, but also a great-grandchild, Hannah Rae Whidden. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Glen C. Beaird of Granbury, Texas, children: Gail Hart, Jan Hart Mark and husband Dennis, Jeff Hart and fiancé Rhonda, all of Granbury, Texas, and Gary Hart and wife Donna of Shreveport, Louisiana. Carolyn loved her grandchildren, Brett Hart, Erin Bassett, Courtney Ortega, Chad Whidden, Clint Whidden, Tanner O'Beirne, Chris O'Beirne, Hunter Hart, and Dillon Hart, who all loved their "Baw-Baw". They gave her 14 great-grandchildren, who always put a smile on her face. She recently resided at Harbor Lakes Senior Care, where she was known by those she loved for her sparkly eyes, cheerful smiles and big warm hugs. Thank you to those who loved her. Thank you also to Interim Hospice for your love and care. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
