Carolyn Sue Cortinez

Graveside services honoring the life of Carolyn Sue Cortinez, 80, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Stanley, Louisiana with Rev. Pat Cobb officiating. Sue was born on March 15, 1940 in Coushatta, Louisiana to Carlton Woodard and Irene Hill. She entered into rest on April 13, 2020 in Mansfield, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton Woodard and Irene Hill and her husband of 55 years, Gene Cortinez. Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Steven Cortinez and wife Carolyn and Shane Cortinez and wife Joanna; daughters, Tina Love and husband Bill, Jeanne Moffett and husband Leroy, Lisa Glaze, and Tammy Childress and husband Larry; sister, Gwen Wyatt and husband Huey; brother, Don Hill and wife Sue; grandchildren, April Lodatto, Paige Snelling, Patrick Cortinez, Dalton Love, Rowdy Cortinez, Brett Crouch, Chance Cortinez Hilburn, Angie Sepulvado, Bobby Moffett, Michael Moffett, Brandi Moffett, Tamra Harris, Hilary Arnold, Tiffany Sanders, and Sueann Glaze, along with numerous great-grandchildren. Honoring Mrs. Cortinez as pallbearers will be Dalton Love, Rowdy Cortinez, Brett Crouch, T.J. Poston, Terrell Snelling, and Branton Preston. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the staff of DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office. The family would like to express their thanks to the nurses of Superior Hospice for all of their care, love, and support.
