Carolyn Ann Nutt

Carolyn Ann Nutt, age 80, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on July 12, 2024. She was born on April 15, 1944, in Fordyce, Arkansas to Bill and Vera Nutt.

A graveside service honoring the life of Carolyn will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, located at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, LA.

Carolyn graduated from Fair Park High School. She went on to further her education, earning her nursing degree at Waxahachie VoTech in Texas. She retired from being a Geriatric nurse for 30 years. Carolyn loved dogs, especially dachshunds and yorkies. Her favorite movies were outer space/Sci-Fi. She will be most remembered as a very loving and family-oriented woman who lived her life to the beat of her own drum.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Monica Oursso. Left behind to cherish her memory include her daughter, Freda Butler and husband Darrell; granddaughter, Crystal Butler; grandsons, Shelby Butler and Justin Schmidt and wife Mary Catherine; great-grandchildren, Rex Schmidt and Emmaline Schmidt.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association or an animal shelter of your choice.
