Carolyn was born on February 24, 1947 to George and Syble Leone in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away Friday, July 2, 2021 in Shreveport. Carolyn was a resident of Stonewall and lived most of her life in Louisiana. She was married to the love of her life, Laddie Pinnick, for 54 years. She was fun-loving, full of spunk and never met a stranger. She loved the outdoors, camping and soaking up the sun. She loved being around her family and listening to music. She was a simple gal who liked the simple things. Give her a "Big Gulp" drink and some sweets and she was content. She also could be a little strong-minded at times, but that is what we loved about her. Sweet and sassy but don't cross her. She was always there when you needed her no matter what. She would give anything for her kids, and she did. She was not only a mother to her three kids, but also to a few of the neighborhood kids as well. She was one tough lady who had a lot of fight in her, and she fought until the end. She was blessed and lived a very good life. She was a Christian who had a relationship with Jesus and now she flies high with the angels. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Beverly Cagle; and brother, Donnie Leone. Left to cherish her memory is her spouse, Laddie Pinnick; her three children, Lori Brown and husband, Jeff, Julie Jones and her significant other, Micah Chandler, and David Pinnick and wife, Gwen; six grandchildren, Casey Jones, Justin Brown and wife, Jacklyn, Austin Pinnick, Kirstie Jones, Brandon Brown and wife, Andrea, and Jared Pinnick; four great-grandchildren, Kayden Jones, Avery and Aubrey Brown, and Braxton Brown; three sisters, Theresa Williams and husband, Robert, Barbara Lafitte and husband, Bill, and Nancy Sherrill; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Also, her dog, Daisy, who she thought of as a child. Honoring Carolyn as pallbearers will be Casey Jones, Justin Brown, Austin Pinnick, Brandon Brown, Jared Pinnick and Trey Hauser. The family would like to express our appreciation to the staff at Heritage Manor South for the care and compassion they gave to Carolyn. The family suggests memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Louisiana, 910 Pierremont Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana, 71106, (318) 861-8680.
