Carolyn Nash Taylor

KEITHVILLE, LA - Services for Carolyn Nash Taylor, 78, will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Pastors Aaron Burgner and Murry Hodge. Interment will be at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the funeral home. Carolyn was born in Union Parish, LA to Joseph Carl and Sally Odessa Elkins Nash and passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on January 24, 2016. She was a loving wife, mother grandmother, and great-grandmother. Carolyn was a longtime member of Summer Grove Baptist Church. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to loving caregivers Brenda Clark, and Lisa Higginbottom. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and one brother. Leaving to cherish her memory is her husband of 60 years James Winnon Taylor; son, Greg Taylor and wife Mary; daughter, Rene Spataro and Elliott Stonecipher; grandchildren, Ashley and Brandon Allen, Justin Spataro and fiance' Kristen Hightower; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Jacob and Chandler Allen; brother, Charles and wife Patsy Nash; sister, Celeste Post. Honoring Carolyn as pallbearers will be Mike Cline, Bill Long, Terry Hayes, Ed Lacy, Truman Wimberly, Glenn Talbert, and Larry McGee.
