Cecelia Ann Burns Cannon

Funeral services for Cecelia Ann Burns Cannon, 75, will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Burial with a graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, N. Wyatt Dr. in El Dorado, Arkansas. Officiating both services will be Rev. McKee Williams.

Cecelia was born on January 20, 1949, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Chester C. Burns, Sr. and Ruby Iler Richey Burns and passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Cecelia was a resident of DeBerry, Texas. She worked over 40 years as a registered nurse before retiring. 

Cecelia is preceded in death by her husband, Marion Paul Cannon; father, Chester C. Burns, Sr.; mother, Ruby R. Burns; brothers, Paul E. Burns and Chester C. Burns, Jr. Left to cherish her memory is her brother, Craig Burns and wife, Dee; stepdaughter, Dottie Cetta and husband, Bill; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Honoring Cecelia as pallbearers will be Tommy Burns, Vic Burns, Henry Touchton, Trey Burns, Billy Joe Blankenship, Phil Peterson, and Craig Burns. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Adam Thompson.
