Cecil Buron Lum

Services for Cecil Buron (C. B.) Lum, 68, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 2, 2021, at Hunter Magnolia Baptist Church. The visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 2, 2021, at Hunter Magnolia Baptist Church. Officiating the service will be Pastor Armador Santos. Interment will be held at Union Springs Cemetery. Mr. Lum passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was a resident of the Union Springs Community. Mr. Lum was a member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 141 of Shreveport, Louisiana, where he retired. He loved playing his guitar for the Lord and loved to fish. He is preceded in death by his parents, Buron Lee Lum and Hazel Lum. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Deborah Kay Springer Lum; children, Kelly Calhoun of Stanley, Louisiana, Kara Cormier and fiancé Jamie Carter of Dayton, Texas, Casey Lum and fiancée Jordan Laffitte of Converse, Louisiana; sisters, Nelda Worthington of Huxley, Texas, Norma Kay Ermel of Huxley, Texas; grandchildren, Eavin Grace Cormier, Ashlynne Elizabeth Cormier, Blaine Calhoun, Ben Calhoun, Lance Lum, Hunter Lum, Beau Kelly Moore; great-grandchildren, Presley Calhoun, Berklee Calhoun. Honoring C. B. as pallbearers will be Bob Bennefield, Ricky Wells, Jamie Carter, Steve Chadwick, Randall English, Todd Springer, Bo Calhoun. The family would like to thank the Red River Hospice of Natchitoches, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations are made to the Hunter Magnolia Baptist Church New Building Fund.
