STONEWALL, LA - Funeral services for Mr. Cedric Jones will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Pastor John Kautz, Pastor Mike Russell, and Pastor Jerrell Head will be officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hornbeck, LA at 4:00 p.m. with Bro Nickey Hilton officiating. Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home from 6-8:00 p.m. Cedric was born February 1, 1935 in Hornbeck, LA to Jessie and Reba Jones and passed away from a short illness on March 5, 2017. He was a residential contractor and built numerous homes in Shreveport and surrounding areas. He had a great attention to detail and having everything done correctly. Cedric enjoyed going to the fishing camp at Toledo Bend where he loved catching white perch. He went mornings and afternoons to Chevron to have coffee with his buddies. He was always interested in what Ron had going on. Above all, Cedric was a devoted family man. Cedric was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Jones and Reba Marie West Jones; daughter, Arla Marie Jones; son, Walton Ray Jones; best friend, Kenneth Teddlie. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ruby Rachel Perkins Jones; his three devoted daughters, LaDona Jones Toney and husband, Thomas, Theresa Jones Senkel and husband, Ron, and Jackie Jones Corrales Miller and Paul Miller; grandchildren, Tonya Toney Lyman and husband, Jon, Bubba Toney and wife, Paula, Tiffany Senkel, Ryan Senkel, Haley Corrales, Brandon Corrales, Kameron Jeane, Michael Tuminello and Matt Isgitt; loving brother, Larry Jones and Shirley; forever friends, Elaine and Buzzy Hemphill; faithful pets, Buddy and Smokey; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Honoring Cedric as pallbearers will be his grandsons, Bubba Toney, Ryan Senkel, Brandon Corrales, Kameron Jeane, Jim Cook, and Jon Lyman. Honorary pallbearers will be, Chevron Coffee Drinking Buddies.
