Charlene Hager, age 98, of Shreveport, Louisiana went to be with her Lord Wednesday, January 24, 2024, in Garden Park Nursing Facility. Charlene was born September 20, 1925. Her parents were Ed and Myrtle Teasley.
Charlene attended Many High School. Soon after graduating from high school Charlene met the love of her life, Herman Hager. They were married for 68 years. Herman was manager of the Beall’s Department Store in Mansfield, Louisiana. Charlene was happiest when working along beside Herman. Charlene loved Mansfield and had many happy memories from her years there. It was there that her children Sharon and Scott were born and raised. She loved being active in any activity they were a part of. Charlene and Herman moved to Shreveport. After moving there, they became members of Brookwood Baptist Church. Charlene loved her church family and was loved by them.
Charlene is preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle and Ed Teasley; husband, Herman Hager; daughter, Sharon Norberg; son-in-law, Daryl Norberg; and son Scott Hager.
She is survived by cousin, Gary Davis and wife Inetha of Atlanta, Texas and cousin, Dale Davis of Zachary, Louisiana.
Charlene also had dear friends from her Brookwood Church Family who ministered to her with such love in her last days. The family would like to thank Julie Bird, Ron Calk, Susan Simmons and Pastor John Harp for their love and support.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Highland Cemetery in Mansfield, Louisiana under the direction of Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home-Mansfield, with Pastor John Harp officiating. The visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. at the cemetery.
