Charles Edward Blake

Memorial services for Charles Edward Blake, 81, will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Keithville United Methodist Church. Reverend Felton Crossland will be officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Charles was born on March 6, 1937 to Latance and Kermit Blake in Ringgold, LA and passed away on June 7, 2018. Charles retired from the Shreveport Police Department after 23 years. After retirement, he worked for Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office for 8 Years. Bowling was his favorite past time and he was an avid fisherman. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Glenda Kimbell. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 56 years, Alice Blake; sons, Bruce K. Blake and wife Candace of Minden, LA, Tim C. Blake and wife Nancy of DeBerry, TX and Gary L. Blake and wife Latonya of Keithville, LA; sister, Linda Blake Crossland and husband Felton of Villa Rica, GA; brothers, Durwood L. Blake and wife Annette of Minden, LA; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to donor's choice.
