Charles Boyd Bradford, Sr.

FRIERSON, LA - A Memorial Service for Charles Boyd "Brad" Bradford, Sr., 79, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, LA. Lynn Mitchell will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until service time. Charles was born on July 11, 1936 in Jefferson, TX and passed away on November 15, 2015. He proudly served his country as a United States Marine from 1954-58. Charles was a local business owner at Walker Spring and Brake since 1988. Charles loved working and tinkering on just about anything. More than anything he was proud of his family and he will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Charles was preceded in life by his mother, Ocie Hay, and brothers, Sonny Bradford and James Hay. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 58 years, Shirley; father, John "Red" Hay; sons, Chuck Bradford and wife, Carmen, and Randy Bradford; daughter-in-law, Robin: sisters, Alline Jones and Tammy Hay; grandchildren, Jeremy Bradford, Laurie Arnold, Adriana Lambert, Scott Bradford, and Chelsea Bradford; 6 great-grandchildren; also his faithful canine companion, Chico, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or The Shriners Hospital, 3100 Samford Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71103.
