SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Charles Burdette Trichel, 64, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 26, 2015, at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel in Shreveport, LA with Rev. R. Rhodes Stipp officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Lake Providence City Cemetery in Lake Providence, LA. Visitation with the family will be prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
Charlie was born January 6, 1951, in Shreveport and passed away January 23, 2015. He graduated from C.E. Byrd in 1969 and attended LSU where he received a B.A. in Architecture. He practiced architecture in St. Croix, U.S.V.I. for 12 years where he enjoyed sailing, snorkeling and lobster hunting. When he and his family returned to Shreveport in 1998, he continued his passion for the water, spending many summer weekends with the family fishing and waterskiing on Lake Providence. Charlie also enjoyed regularly attending LSU and Saints football games.
He was preceded in death by his parents, B. E. and Jerry Trichel; and sister, Cathy Trichel. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lee Hamilton Trichel; son, Spence Trichel and wife, Casey; daughter, Lee Anne Trichel; and granddaughter, Brynlee Trichel.
Honoring Charlie as pallbearers will be Jesse Ford, Jack Hamilton, Kelly Martin, Albert Barnes, Steve Gibson and Pat Duckworth.
