Homer, LA:Funeral services for Charles E. Chandler was held Friday, May 25, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Chapel in Homer, Louisiana with Rev. David Acklin officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Mariah Cemetery in Athens, Louisiana. The family received friends from 1 p.m. Friday until service time.
Charles was born February 26, 1932 in Claiborne Parish and entered into rest May 23, 2018 in Minden, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his son, Stanley Chandler; brother, Clenard Chandler and sisters, Margaret Williamson and Agnes Phillips.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Chandler of Homer, sons, Charles Damon Chandler of Homer; Paul Chandler of Oklahoma; daughters, Rose Butler of Ruston, Kristie May of West Monroe; sisters Loda Meek and Joyce Tawwatters both of Shreveport; brother Otha Chandler of Arcadia; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
