Charles “Charlie” William Holler, Sr. 87, a longtime resident of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. Charlie was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi to George and Mary Holler who preceded him.
Charlie had a great sense of humor coupled with a warm, infectious laugh. He drove on the amateur racing circuit in his younger days. He loved bowling, building things, and designing houses. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, usually with his best friend to this day, Bobby Broom. He could figure out how to fix anything and duct tape was his friend. Charlie was most happy when he was surrounded by his children and grandchildren telling an outrageous story that we still talk and laugh about to this day.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years, Sherry Holler; children, Karen and her husband Tim, Becky and her wife Gina, Pam, Gail and her husband Steve, and Bill and his wife Donya; grandchildren, John, Nick, Ben, Sherry, Nathan, Kirsten, Kera, Josh, Hunter, Katherine, Abigail, Tristen, and Maddux; along with 11 great-grandchildren.
To honor our Pop’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Forest Park West Cemetery-4000 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, LA 71109.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, the American Cancer or Heart Association in his name.
