Charles Wayne Dunn

Graveside services for Charles Wayne Dunn, 72, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at NW LA Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA with Pastor Rachel McConnell-Switzer officiating. Charles was born December 16, 1945 to Travis and Pearl Dunn and passed away on March 4, 2018 in Shreveport, LA. He retired from the U.S. Army. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing but his greatest joy was his family. Charles was preceded in death by parents; brother, Jack Dunn; sister, Mary Dunn East; nephew, Jason Dunn; and great-nephew, Jesse Sewell. Left to cherish his memory are wife, Marlene Moseley Dunn; children, Amy Dunn, Shane Dunn; Natalie Parker (Carol), and Dylan Parker (Nicole); grandchildren, Meredith Maund, Emily Maund, Madeline Maund, Rowan Dunn, Hayden Dunn, Keira Parker, and Emerson Parker; great-grandchildren, Brantley Rogel and Wesley Rogel; siblings, Jo Shepard, Jerry Dunn; and Suzie Munholland (Herbert); sister-in-law, Victoria Moseley Bayless (Ron); numerous nieces and nephews; and close friends, James Hawthorne and Debbie Brown. Memorials may be made to the American Stroke Foundation. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Little and staff at Willis-Knight Pierremont, especially Meredith in the ICU and Tammy and Denisha in the Stroke Unit.
