Charles Clayton Dyess, Sr.

MARTHAVILLE, LA--Funeral services honoring the life of Charles Dyess, Sr., 75, will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Spring Ridge Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill, LA with Reverend Danny Williams and Reverend Clayton Dyess, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Ridge Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, LA. The family will receive friends at Spring Ridge Baptist Church on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 11AM till 2PM. Charles was born on November 20, 1941 to Edward and Emma Dyess and entered into rest on July 13, 2017. Preceding Charles in death are his parents; Edward and Emma Dyess; grandchildren, Joseph Dyess, Jr., Skye Dyess; great grandchild, Jackie Jackson; nephew, Edward Blankenship; and niece, Sharon Blankenship. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Vera Flores Dyess; sons, Clayton Dyess, Jr. and wife Alisha, Joseph Dyess, Lloyd Dyess and wife Lisa all of Marthaville, LA; daughters, Christine Strebeck and husband Ricky of Many, LA, Valerie Gonzalez and husband Gene of Marthaville, LA; daughter-in-law, Tamra Palmer; sister; Mary Ruth Blankenship and husband Edgar of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Shannan, Timothy, Nathan, Joshua, Rebecca, Michael, Kaelynn, Abigail, Danielle, Dwain, Haylie, Dakota, Christopher, Emma, Elijah, Lacy, Brenda, Edward, Daylee, Terry, Emery and Xander; and great grandchildren, Joshua, Titus, Zane, Kambriella, Kara, Kason, Riley, Tucker, Twila, Noah, Bailey, and awaiting the birth of another great granddaughter. Honoring the life of Charles as pallbearers will be Jeremy Williams, Sean Jackson, Nathan Dyess, Timothy Dyess, Christopher Strebeck and Dakota Strebeck. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Dyess and Edgar Blankenship.
