Charles Nolan Hester
Shreveport, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Charles "Chuck" Nolan Hester will be held at 12:00 Noon, Monday, March 14, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA. Earnie Fegley and Billy Stevens will be officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon at the funeral home prior to the service. A private interment will follow at Forest Park West in Shreveport, LA.
Mr. Hester was born in Columbia, LA on August 27, 1945 to Humphries Jr. and Jeanette Burkhalter Hester and went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 7, 2016. He was a longtime resident of Shreveport, LA, where he met his wife of almost 50 years, Evelyn Stevens Hester, while serving in the U.S. Army. This union produced much love over the years in the form of four children, eleven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. After leaving the army, Charles found himself in the oil and gas industry as a mud logger, owning multiple logging companies over the years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Mr. Hester was preceded in death by his father, Humphries Hester, Jr. Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Eula Jeanette Hester; wife, Evelyn Stevens Hester; son, Kevin Hester and special friend Eulene; daughters, Karen Williams and husband Jeremy, Kalyn Deloach and husband Kenneth, Karla Spero and husband Marshall; grandchildren, Nicholas Deloach, Chelsie Hall and husband Dustin, Jonathon Deloach and wife Ricki, Bradley Hill, Ashley Hill, Tabitha Deloach, Phillip Hester, Tyler Williams, Evelyn Spero, Mason Williams, Madison Williams and Elizabeth Spero; great grandchildren, Mckenzie Hill, Bentley Hall and Hunter Hall. He is also survived by his sister, Dianne Bridges and husband Gary, and special cousin, as close as a brother, Odis Crozier Hester and wife Tam.
Honoring Mr. Hester as pallbearers will be Jeremy Williams, Marshall Spero, Steven Luman and Gary Bridges.
