Charles Raymond Isaacs, Jr. was one of God's best. He went to join his Lord and Savior on February 5, 2018 after a brief illness. He was 69 years old. Charles' first priority was to serve God and loving his family was a close second. He provided for them by working for Bellsouth/AT&T for 40 years. His family has been blessed by Charles providing them with all the love and encouragement they could ever need, laughter that could be heard in heaven, and enough memories to fill the rest of their lives with joy. The Hebrew meaning of his last name, Isaac, is "he laughs," which he embodied every day. Charles brought smiles to the faces of everyone he met, was a blessing to those he knew, was a father to every child who walked through his door, and gave to anyone in need. Many lives have been moved by his kindness. He is survived by another one of God's best, Brenda, his loving wife of 41 years. He is survived by his hunting buddy and son, Scott, with his wife Leah and sons Scotty and Matthew, and his perpetual Daddy's Girl and daughter, Ashley, with her husband Wayne and son Antonio. He is also survived by his 3 "wonderful" nephews: Bill, Trevor, and Charley Mikesell.
Visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Southside in Shreveport, LA on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral services will also be held at Rose-Neath Southside in Shreveport, LA on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 10am. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Please send any memorials to the Children's Ministry of First Baptist Church of Shreveport.
The Isaacs family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Christus Highland Hospital for their loving care, kindness, and prayers.
Charles will be missed beyond measure, but there is comfort in knowing that he has achieved what he has spent his life working towards - laughing, serving, and rejoicing in his Lord and Savior.
Well done, my good and faithful servant. - Matthew 25:21
