Charles Ashton Johnson

DeBerry, TX - Charles (Charlie) Johnson, age 66, of DeBerry, Texas, passed away on February 15, 2015 at Willis Knighton Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Born December 26, 1948 in Verda, Louisiana, he was the son of the late James Bailey Johnson and Ruth Wallace Johnson of Verda, Louisiana. Charles was the youngest of seven children Nona J. DuBois, Martha J. Hines, Missy J. Oglesby, James R. Johnson, Lawrence W. Johnson, and John A. Johnson. Charles worked for MaxFoote Construction for 25 years. He enjoyed Nascar racing and hunting, football, and a good cook-out with friends. He is survived by his precious and faithful dog \"Gizmo\" and his 5 children; Kimberly Liner (David) of Tannehille LA, Katherine Holloway (Mikel) of Colfax, LA, Kristal Thomisee (Steven) of Verda, LA, Bo Johnson (Layla) of Carthage, Texas, Nona Livingston (Andrew) of Carthage Texas; his 10 grandchildren Emily Thomisee, Mason Holloway, James Johnson, Jennifer Johnson, Jessica Johnson, Stephanie Franks, Kristina Franks, Justin Franks, Ayanna Livingston, Kenly Livingston; and many close friends and relatives.
