Chuck married the love of his life, Gerry and graduated from Louisiana College with a BA degree. After serving his country in the US Army, they moved to Mississippi to begin his career in the Automobile Industry. In 1963 Chuck moved his young family to Shreveport, LA to open the first American Motors Corporation Dealership in the area. Over the years, he developed many lasting friendships and mentored many young men in the business. He was well known for his honesty and integrity. After many successful years in the Auto industry he began a second career in the Insurance industry for American National Insurance from which he retired in 2001. During his career, he was Past President a devoted long time member of the Optimist Club and the West Shreveport Club. Chuck was a faithful and longtime member and Deacon at Ford Park Baptist Church always serving in any capacity needed. In his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends fishing at his houseboat on Lake O' the Pines. His real passion though was his family and his church. He was truly a selfless man, always thinking of others and what he could do for them. Chuck will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends who had the privilege of knowing him. We take great comfort knowing that through his faith and belief in our Lord Jesus Christ that we will be reunited soon.
