HOMER, LA: Funeral services will be held for Mr. Donford Pair, 82, in the of Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home at 405 East 5^th Street in Homer, LA on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Bro. Danny Triplet, officiating. Interment will follow at Northwest Louisiana Veteran's Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Road, Keithville, LA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9-10 prior to the service. Mr. Pair was born August 27, 1934 in Claiborne Parish, LA to Luther Paxton and Puellar Young Pair. He entered into rest Monday, May 15, 2017 following a short illness. Mr. Pair served in the U.S. Army for 2 years from December 1956 to December 1958. Mr. Pair was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Nina Marie Gruner and Margie Rene Walker; 2 brothers, Johnny Pair and Alva Pair; grandsons, Colton and Daniel; and a great grandson, Sebastian. He is survived by 2 daughters, Rajeania Permenter and Rebecca Pair; a son, James Pair; 3 sisters, Mae Bell Triplet, Peggy Jo Sanders and Pollie Ann Kelly; 7 grandchildren, Jessie, Joe, Jackie, Chris, Kory, Karl and David; 7 great grandchildren, Nick, Aiden, Destiny, Kenzlee, Shane, Caleb and Dakota; special friend, W.A. Spigener; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Donnie Cole, John Cole, Brian Hollenshead, Tommy Mason, Robert G. Sanders and Tony Gruner. Honorary pallbearer will be W.A. Spigener.
