SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services honoring Mr. Charles "Chuck" Edward Phagan, will be held at North Keithville Baptist Church on Friday July 8, 2016 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment to follow at Northwest LA Veterans in Keithville, LA. Officiating will be Pastor William Simmons and assisting will be Bro. Mark Bevill of Westwood Baptist Church in Waskom, TX. Visitation with the family will be held at Rose- Neath Southside Funeral Home on Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Chuck was born on February 6, 1940 to Kenneth Boyd and Eloise Marter Phagan in Peach Orchard, MO. He passed away July 6, 2016, at Promise Hospital in Bossier City, at the age of 76. He was the brother of 13 siblings. He was owner of Cedar Grove Plumbing for over 35 years and worked as Chief Plumbing Inspector for The City of Shreveport until his retirement. In his retirement he enjoyed selling watermelons, teaching his grandson to drive, and having coffee with friends. He was preceded in death by wife his of 50 years, Donna Phagan; his parents; son Jimmy Wayne Phagan. He is survived by daughters Pam Phagan Fletcher and husband Cory; Deborah J. Murphy, Dinah Jordan, and Jeri Tobin; grandchildren Chase Phagan, Chad and Danny Evans,Troy and Jeremy Finley, Kristi Neill Harsh, Kori and Kasie Dinkins, and Heather Lee; 12 great grandchildren, numerous cousins, friends and love ones. The family wants to send a Special Thank You to the Promise Hospital for the love, care, humor and compassion showed to our father during his stay and Dr. Kasabali for keeping our dads' heart beating far longer than it should have.
