Charles "Charlie" Henry Brakeville

BENTON, LA - Services for TSgt. Charles Henry Brakeville, USAF Ret. will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Adam Miller, Pastor of Plain Dealing Church of Christ, assisted by John Billingsley. Interment will follow at Rocky Mount Presbyterian Cemetery with United States Air Force Honors. Visitation will be Friday, September 9, 2016, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA. Charles was born February 17, 1935, in DeQueen, AR to Oren Nelson and Vera McCauley Brakeville and died September 5, 2016, in Shreveport, LA. He was a member of Plain Dealing Church of Christ, a life-member of VFW #4588 and a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, infant Robert David Brakeville, Capt. Donald L. Brakeville, United States Army; sister, Betty Lou Brakeville; brothers, Paul Brakeville and Kenneth Brakeville, and brother-in-law, Tommy Scarborough. Charlie is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sally Hamilton Brakeville; son, Charles Wayne Brakeville, his daughters, Beth and Maggie and their mother, Cissy Brakeville of Benton, LA, son, Clayton Hamilton Brakeville and wife, Angela and their daughters, Shelby Ann and Caroline of Shreveport, LA; brother, Bobby Brakeville and wife, Frances of Locksburg, AR; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Taylor of DeQueen, AR, Kathlyn Brakeville of Odessa, TX, Annette Scarborough and Lillie Jensen of Benton, LA, Susan Klotz and husband, Michael of Corpus Christi, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring Charlie as pallbearers will be Billy Boyd, Ed Foutch, Lee Harris, Jacob Hooper, Jonathan Hooper, Ardis Dale Peace, Reggie Quillin, and Rusty Scarborough. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Randy Autrey, Syd Burt, Matthew Hooper, Fred Douglas McKellar, Marion Dale Peace, and Julian Whittington. The family wishes to extend their appreciation and gratitude to Shane Barton, M.D., Maxwell McDonald, M.D., the staff at Willis-Knighton Progressive Care Center and Willis-Knighton Hospice for their care and compassion.
