Charles Smith, Sr.

     A  graveside service honoring the life of Mr. Charles Henry Smith, Sr., will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. at New Bethel Cemetery in Arcadia. Bro. Steven Beard will officiate. A visitation will be held from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia.

     Charles was born on September 18, 1946, to Shelton and Delores Smith. He entered into rest on January 15, 2023. Charles proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked at Perdue as a maintenance supervisor. Charles was known and loved in his community. Every morning and evening you could find him sitting in front of Gap Farms drinking coffee with his friends and chatting with those who stopped by. He also loved to go hunting, enjoyed feeding the wildlife around his home, and adored his grandsons. Charles will be missed by all those that knew him.

     Charles is preceded in death by his wife Brenda Smith, son Tommy Smith, and by his brothers.

     Left to cherish his memories are his son Charles Smith, Jr. and wife Heather, grandchildren Hunter and Jacob, sister Sharon Willis, special friend Brandon Falgout, and numerous other loving family and friends.

     Honoring Charles as pallbearers will be Leon Falgout, Ronnie Rhodes, Brandon Falgout, Hunter Smith, Brad Love, and Mike Dean.
