SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Charles DeWayne Williams, 64, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Rev. Mike Stowell will be officiating. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home.
Charles was born on September 26, 1951 in Madill, Oklahoma to Charles Oscar Williams and Martha Lee Chaney Williams and passed away on July 28, 2016 after a lengthy illness. After graduating from high school, Charles proudly served his country in the USAF.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 22 years, Janelle Williams. Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Charles DeWayne Williams, Jr.; daughters, Melissa M. Dupont and husband Stacy, and Kimberly M. Evans and husband Darin; grandchildren, Savannah L. Cavanaugh, Karlie L. Dupont, Jackson W. Dupont, Kyndal Evans, Dakota Evans, and Dawson Evans; sisters, Janet Floyd and Connie Gryder and husband Mark; his 4-legged companions Tucker and Prissy; also numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Honoring Charles as pallbearers will be Rickey Gilbert, Andrew Pilcher, Charlie Mauldin, Dakota Evans, Stephen Pliler, and Mark Gryder.
Honorary pallbearers will be his friends at Pliler International, where he worked for 44 years, cousins C.D. and Skeet Parker.
