Charles Willis

Arcadia - Funeral services will be held for Charles Willis, age 65, at 3 p.m., on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia. Bro. Stephen Beard and Bro. Jeff Sykes will officiate. The interment will follow at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Charles was born July 12, 1952, in Ruston, LA to Alfred and Catherine Willis. He entered into rest on Friday, November 10, 2017, in Arcadia, LA. Charles worked at Haynes International for 27 years until his retirement. He was a member and deacon at New Bethel Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Lions Club of Arcadia, where he received the Lion of the year award in 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Catherine Willis, daughter Margaret Christine Willis, and brothers Alan and Tommy Willis. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sharon Willis, siblings Diane Willis, Billy Willis and Danny Willis, step-daughter Christy Rushing and husband Chip, grandchildren Kellie Love and husband James, Andrea Modell, Courtney Rushing and Cameron Rushing, great grandchildren Chloe and Justin Love, Kayden and Mackenzie Dodge, Bryleigh and Lily Domangue and by a host of other nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
