Charlie Johnson

Celebration of Life services for "Charlie" Charles Johnson, 71, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 18, 2014 in the Rose-Neath Logansport Chapel with Brother Tommy McMellon officiating. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Converse Cemetery, Converse, LA, under the direction of Rose-Neath. The family will be greeting guests for visitation Thursday, July 17, 2014 during the hours of 6-9 P.M. in the Logansport Rose-Neath Chapel.

Charlie was born January 21, 1943, in Converse, LA, to the late Elsie Mae Rike Sebren and was called to his Heavenly home July 15, 2014 in Shreveport, LA. He enjoyed outdoors sports especially when it came to watching his grandchildren play. Charlie would play dominos, was a food critic and held a passion for socialization. He always made time for his chiweenie, Daphne. Charlie will be deeply missed by those who knew him!

Charlie was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie Mae Rike Sebren; his father, George R. Sebren and one brother, "Sapo" James Sebren.

Left to cherish the beautiful memories that Charlie leaves behind will be his three daughters: Brandy Holloway and husband Steve, Mandy Mayfield and Fiancé Duncan Ray Duncan, and Wanda Raye Garrett, two sons: Eric Johnson and wife Shannon and Scotty Johnson, two sisters: Debbie Cowling and Linda Kitchens, sixteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren along with numerous extended family members and many wonderful friends.

Honoring Charlie as pallbearers will be Matt Parker, Chase Barnett, Zach Mayfield, Steven Hinson, Steve Holloway and Duncan Ray Duncan. Honorary pallbearers will be Kamon Parker, Steve Holloway Jr. and Dalton Garrett.
