CARTHAGE, TX - Graveside services for Charlie Andrew "Andy" McDearmont, Jr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA with Chaplain Dave McKinney and Chaplain Andrew Abshire officiating. Visitation with the family will be held at Rose-Neath Southside on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Andy was born September 9, 1949 in Shreveport, Louisiana and died on April 30, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He graduated from Woodlawn High School Class of 1967. He proudly served his country in the USAF from September 1968 until September 1972 as an Aerospace Equipment Repairman, serving one year in Thailand during the Vietnam War. Andy worked at Atlas Process Refinery for 24 years, retiring in 2001. Following that, he owned and operated A Bar M Express Trucking Company and most recently was a field supervisor at Basic Energy Services in DeBerry, TX.
Andy was preceded in death by his father, Charlie A. McDearmont, Sr. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Karen Denise McDearmont, his children, Christie Renae McDearmont and Raymond of Shreveport; Matthew Lee McDearmont and wife, Jessica of Haughton, LA, granddaughter, Lucie Renae McDearmont. Andy was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his grandson, Sutton Grey McDearmont due in August. He is also survived by his mother, Lucy Jane McDearmont of Corpus Christi, TX, siblings, Charlotte Pennington and husband, Bob of Hot Springs Village, AR; Mary Shows and husband, Lindsey of Corpus Christi, TX, Jim McDearmont of Benton, LA. Along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who will all miss him dearly.
Since 1987 Andy was a resident of Deadwood, TX where he enjoyed raising cattle, fishing, hunting and enjoying the country life. He enjoyed cooking for family and friends and was known for his big bonfires, cookouts and fish fry's.

Kevin Malec, and Raymond Ross.
Christie, Matt and Karen would like to thank our family and friends for all the love and support we received during this time.
