Charlotte "Grammy" Ambrose

Memorial services celebrating the life of Charlotte "Grammy" Ambrose will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr, Shreveport, Louisiana. A gathering of family and friends will be held an hour prior. Officiating the service will be Dan Heggenstaller. Charlotte was born on March 24, 1959 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Bill Buirse Woods and Vivian Louis Kimble and passed away September 29, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. After graduating from high school, Charlotte went on to enter the field of phlebotomy along with medical assisting. She raised two beautiful daughters alongside her husband, Gary Ambrose, of 20 years. Charlotte's nickname from her grandbaby was "Hero", which was the best description because she was the ultimate wife, mother and grandmother. Charlotte was also an avid shopper and had a greenthumb. When Charlotte wasn't taking care of her plants or traveling with her husband she was spending time with her fur baby Bayo Ambrose. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Lindsey. She is survived by her husband, Gary Ambrose; daughter, Tiffany Young; grand-daughter, Elise Young; sister, Tammy Heggenstaller and husband Dan; brother, Billie Woods and wife Elaine and a host of aunts, uncles and other friends and family. The family would like to give a special thanks for all the kindness and love that has been poured out in this time.
