A private graveside service celebrating the life of Charlotte Cook will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Mt. Olive East Cemetery in Quitman, Louisiana. Beloved mother and grandmother, Charlotte Ann Tilley Cook passed away at the age of 84 on Saturday, August 8, 2020 in Bossier City, Louisiana of natural causes. Charlotte was one of three children born to H.M and Norma Tilley in Shreveport, Louisiana on August 10, 1935. Charlotte lived the majority of her life in Louisiana. She met her late husband, Fred Cook an Air Force recruit from Maine, on a blind date. They were married in 1955 and remained together until his death in November 2018. To this union, Fred and Charlotte were blessed with four children: Steven, Michael, Pamela and Kimberly. "Mamaw", as she was lovingly called, was the proud grandmother to seven grandsons and equally proud of her four great-grandchildren. Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Cook; son, Steven Cook; parents, Henry Morgan and Norma Tilley and brother, Charles Tilley. She is survived by her children, Michael Cook, Pamela Cook White and husband, Chris, Kimberly Cook Barnhill and husband, Michael; grandsons, Justin Cook and wife, Kelsey, Lane White and wife, Sara, Morgan Cook, Cameron White and wife, Jordan, Riley Barnhill, Mason Barnhill, and Sawyer Barnhill; great-grandchildren, Raylee Hood, Jayden Cook, Charlotte White, and Colson White; sister, Barbara Estes; sister-in-law, Mary Somerville and husband, Gordon; along with numerous extended family members. Honoring Mamaw as pallbearers will be Justin Cook, Morgan Cook, Lane White, Cameron White, Riley Barnhill, Mason Barnhill, and Sawyer Barnhill. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association at 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or the St. Jude Children's Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place • Memphis, TN 38105
