Chaylor L Reeves

Graveside services celebrating the life of Chaylor Holland Reeves, age 78 will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Oil City, LA with her grandson, Brandon Garner officiating, assisted by son-in-law Eugene Tunstall. The family will be having an informal visitation at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Dave Garner, 9715 Mathieu Drive, Oil City, LA from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2020. Mrs. Reeves better known by her family and friends as "Nanny" was born in Ola, LA on April 25, 1942 to Jewel Ray "Blackie" Holland and Marjorie Louise Kyles Holland and passed away on July 11, 2020 at Vivian Healthcare, Vivian LA. Nanny was a longtime resident of Oil City and Mooringsport, LA; member of Ferry Lake Baptist church, a charter member of Caddo Fire District 7 Board, president of Gusher Days in the 1980's and worked for public housing for many years. Nanny was preceded in death by her parents, Blackie and Marjorie Holland; husband, B. A. Reeves; brother, Jesse Holland and great grandson, Corbyn Tunstall. Those left to cherish her loving memories are her daughters, Mitzi Tunstall and husband, Eugene of Mooringsport, LA, Kathy Garner and husband, Dave of Oil City, LA and Debbie Nichols and husband, Mike of Gun Barrel City, TX. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jeremy Tunstall and wife, Holly, Kyle Tunstall, Kylee Tunstall, Brandon Garner and wife, Lauren, Phillip Garner and wife, Tiffany, Justin Gamble and Jena Gamble and 17 great grandchildren. Honoring Nanny as pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family has requested that donations in Nanny's name be made to the Children and Youth Funds at Ferry Lake Baptist Church, P. O. Box 278, Oil City, LA 71061. The family would like to thank and acknowledge the all the staff of Vivian Healthcare for their care and compassion for our mother.
