Cherry Sue Lucky

Shreveport, LA - A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Cherry Sue Holley Lucky, 86, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Broadmoor United Methodist Church with Dr. Greg Davis officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.

Cherry Sue was born on June 1, 1930 in Athens, LA and passed away on December 31, 2016 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. She graduated from Fair Park High School and was a member of P.E.O., Chapter X for more than 50 years. She was also honored as a Lifetime Member of PTA and was a member of the Broadmoor United Methodist Church.

Cherry Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, D.Q. (Dick) Lucky, Jr. on January 1, 2016; parents, Edward Anglin Holley and Mattie Sue Nickelson Holley, and her sister, Janelle Holley Ratley. She is survived by her son Jack Lucky and spouse, Tim Myles; daughters, Cherilyn Lucky Winterton and Connie Lucky Lorant and husband, Jet; grandchildren, Hunter Winterton and wife, Kate, Anne Winterton, Judson Lorant and wife, Kim and Colby Lorant and wife, Calli; her great grandchildren, Evelyn, Holly and Charlotte Winterton, Mize Lorant. She is also survived by her sister, Edward Anne Muzos and husband, Steve and numerous nieces and nephews.
