Chic Earl Hines

HOMER, LA: Funeral services were held for Mr. Chic Earl Hines, 66, at First Baptist Church in Homer, LA on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Brian Thurman, officiating. Interment followed at Old Town Cemetery in Haynesville, LA. The family received friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer on Monday from 5-7 P.M. Mr. Chic Hines was born February 1, 1949 in Sulphur, LA to Charles and June Hines. He entered into rest on Saturday, May 23, 2015 in Homer, LA. Mr. Hines began his career at the CitCon Lube Oil Plant and retired from Vista Chemical where he worked as a Lab Analyst. Mr. Hines was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Travis Martin Hines and a niece, Ella Grace Carter. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Sandra Worley Hines; two brothers, Kim Hines and wife Jill of Sulphur, LA and Rex Hines and wife Rosanne of Culpeper, VA; Sandra's brothers, L.C. Worley and wife Pam of Kingwood, TX and Tom Worley and wife Dana of Longview, TX.; along with nieces and nephews, Aimee Carter and husband, Rob and their children, Ethan, Elise and Emelia; Morgan Hines and wife, Kala and their children, Travis, Brody and Jack; Jessica Cottet and husband, Tim and their children, Shelby, Hali and Adam, Andrew Worley and wife, Brie and their daughter, Ivy, Greg Worley, Drew Worley, Morgan Worley and Rachel Worley as well as other relatives and many friends. For friends considering memorials honoring Mr. Hines, his family suggests the American Cancer Society, the "I Love My Church" at First Baptist Church in Homer or the charity of the donor's choice.
