Gloria Christene Horn Hughes beloved Mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away at the age of eighty-eight on September 21, 2015 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. Chris was born in Montgomery, Louisiana to C. O. Horn, Sr. and Thelma Gunter on April 18, 1927. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, C. O. "Buck" Horn, Jr. and sister Connie Miller. Left with loving memories are her daughter, Theda Beene Lee, grandchildren; Jann Parker, Deana Dzurik and Ernie Parker, great-grandchildren; Andrew and Michael Dzurik, as well as her sisters; Doris Lary and Josephine Lee and numerous nieces and nephews. Chris retired from Pioneer Bank and Trust after working there for 43 years. She spent many hours volunteering with her RSVP singing group as they visited nursing homes and entertained the residents. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Gardens of Memory in Minden with Rev. Bruce Lee officiating.
