CHRISTINE M. SCHEWE SEPT. 17, 1929 - NOV. 10, 2016 Montgomery, TX - Christine Schewe, born on September 17, 1929 in San Augustine, TX went to be with our Lord and Savior on November 10, 2016. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Schewe in 2013. Christine was raised in Springhill, LA by her parents, Felix and Etta Mae Miller, who also preceded her into heaven. She spent most of her adult life in Shreveport, LA where she married, established a home and raised three sons. She worked many years as a secretary for Texas Eastern and at one time held the position of president of the local chapter of the National Secretary Association. Christine ("Mimi") loved to spend time working in her flower gardens with Walter and just being with her family. She and Walter moved to Montgomery, TX in 2011, where they were welcomed and loved by all whom they met. Throughout her life she volunteered at the church to serve others and also volunteered with "Meals and Wheels" taking food to the sick and elderly. She was a member of the Riverstone Community Church in Montgomery, TX and loved all the members there. She was deeply devoted to the Lord and a constant prayer warrior.   Christine is survived by her sister, Emogene Covington; two brothers Raymond Miller and wife, Shirley; Rogers Miller and wife, Faye; three sons, Edward Grappe, Jr. and wife, Michelle; David Grappe and wife, Lisa; Chris Grappe and wife, Tracey; also, two step-sons, Eric Schewe and wife Donna; Damon Schewe and wife Jackie; two step-daughters Adrienne Smith and husband, Sidney; Laura Cleer and husband Shannon. Also many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.   A viewing will be held at Kilpatrick Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside Drive from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday November 14, 2016. Funeral Services will be held at Kilpatrick Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel at 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport LA at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Burial will follow at Forest Park West at 4000 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport, LA.
