Christopher Andrew Barnhill

Funeral services for Christopher Andrew Barnhill, 47, will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 1204 Crabapple Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Beulah Methodist Church Cemetery in Marthaville, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. service time at the church. Officiating the service will be Rev. Mark Bray assisted by Rev. Willis Dear.

Chris was born on August 3, 1975 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Katie Middleton Barnhill and Jimmy Dale Barnhill and passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023 in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Chris was a resident of Lafayette. He graduated from Southwood High School in 1994 where he was an outstanding football player. He graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where he was a member of the TKE Fraternity. Chris spent his career as an engineer. He was witty, comical, talkative, and fun to be around. He loved sports, history, hunting and spending time with his family, especially his daughter, and friends.

Chris is preceded in death by his mother, Katie Middleton Barnhill. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Eva Marie Barnhill; his father, Jimmy D. Barnhill; his brother, Jonathan Barnhill and wife, Melanie; his niece, Anna Barnhill Harrison and husband, Trent; and his former wife and the mother of his child, Jayna Clark Barnhill.
