Christopher Michael Henderson, 36, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 after a tragic accident in Webster Parish, Louisiana. Chris was born on March 1, 1980 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Christopher worked hard to obtain his Class A CDL license and worked as a truck driver and roughneck. He was a devoted father, husband, son and friend. He helped his family, friends and many others in the community and strived to make life easier for everyone he knew and loved. Chris was able to fix just about anything or any situation and if he couldn't, he always found a way to figure it out, one way or the other. He always had devoted friends who were willing to help him in any situation, also. Christopher grew up in Haughton, Louisiana and will rest in peace in Haughton, Louisiana with other of his loved ones he visited many times through the years. Chris considered Haughton, Louisiana home. He took great pride in providing for his wife and kids.
He is preceded in death by his stepmother, Karen Henderson, grandfather, John B. Wooley and grandmother, Bonnie Beth Wooley. Christopher is survived by his wife, Jennifer Henderson, 33, of Shreveport, his stepdaughter Kylie Carrier, 7, of Shreveport, his son, Luke Henderson, 3, of Shreveport, William Henderson, 14, of Haughton, his mother, Lois Kerry of Haughton, his stepfather James Kerry of Haughton, his father Stephen Henderson & sister, Chasity Henderson, of Bossier City, Louisiana, step brothers Robbie Myers of Shreveport and Stephen Henderson of Bossier City, Louisiana and four nephews, Jonathan Henderson, Devon Henderson, Sean Henderson, Oliver Henderson all of Bossier City, LA and grandmother Yvonne Conners of Bethany Louisiana. He was also loved by his in-laws Martha Bell of Blanchard, Louisiana and Lane Myrick of Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Services celebrating Christopher's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Marshall Street in Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park on Highway 80 in Haughton. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
Honoring Christopher as pallbearers will be Jonathan "Boss" LaBorde, Jerry "Doc" Glenn, Jerry "JRock" Payton, Duane Allen, James "Bo" Kerry, and Gary Lampkin.
