Agnes Chrystine Moore Reeves passed away peacefully January 1, 2018, ready to join her Heavenly Father. Chrystine lived 98 active years surrounded by family and friends and always eager to share a story and a smile.
Chrystine was born in Stamps, AR on July 23, 1919. She spent most of her life in Shreveport where she graduated from C. E. Byrd High School and Centenary College. She was a typing teacher and a substitute teacher in Caddo Parish Secondary Schools for many years. She moved to Williamsburg Assisted Living Center in Baton Rouge about two years ago.
Chrystine was a life-long member of Noel Memorial United Methodist Church. She was an active member of the Women's Department Club and Highland Senior Center, and greatly enjoyed attending activities at each. A seasoned world traveler, she enjoyed visiting new places and as well as life-long friends and family. She was proud to boast that at age 95, she journeyed from the top of Mt. Evans in Colorado to the bottom of Carlsbad Caverns in less than 24 hours. Always apt with a quip, her mind remained sharp for the entirety of her life.
