CJ "Papa" Rose, Jr.

CJ ”Papa” Rose, Jr. was born on June 13, 1952 to Clyde Jackson Rose, Sr., and Minnie Juanita Clark Rose in Covington, Virginia, and passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024 in Bossier City, Louisiana. 

CJ was a Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He proudly served his country for 24 years. He met his loving wife during his service, and they were happily married for 45 wonderful years. CJ was an avid reader and loved reading science fiction. He enjoyed Nascar racing and fishing for bass. He adored his children, and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. There was nothing he loved more than spending time with them and making memories. CJ will be missed by those who knew and loved him. 

CJ was preceded by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lelita C. Rose; daughters, Shirley Rose Carney and Wendy Rose; three sisters; and two brothers; his five grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
