SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Clara Virginia Byles, 86, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 15, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Bobby Bates. Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. in Springridge Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, LA. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2014 at the funeral home. Clara was born on August 29, 1928 in Pleasant Hill, LA and passed away on September 12, 2014. She was a resident of Shreveport, LA and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe R. Byles; parents, LeRoy and Annie Bell Free; brother, Elmer N. Free; and sister, Annie Alene Bates. Left to cherish her sweet memory is son, Richard Byles and wife, Diane; daughter, Kathy Vandenbrand and husband, Tom; sister, Ruby Lee Roberts; grandchildren, Jared Singletary and wife, Elizabeth, Cory Byles and wife, Jessica, Magan Byles, Kristen Vandenbrand; and 5 great-grandchildren.
