Clara Jean Dittman

Clara Jean Dittman, 77, of Keithville, Louisiana passed away on April 19, 2024, after a brief illness. Jean was born on May 6, 1946, in West Monterey, Pennsylvania to Thomas and Velma Buzard. She was only ever referred to as “Jean”.

Jean earned her high school diploma from Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School in Foxburg, Pennsylvania. She married the love of her life, Frank Dittman on August 28, 1964, and would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in August of this year. Jean worked as the Secretary of the St. Petersburg, Pennsylvania Borough. She also worked with Shreveport Bank and Trust upon her move to Shreveport in 1980, and other subsequent Credit Unions until she retired from Northwest Louisiana Credit Union. In her spare time, Jean enjoyed cooking, entertaining loved ones, and playing the violin. Her passions in life included her close relationship with Christ and her church at Bethany Baptist. She enjoyed studying the word of God with her bible study group. She also enjoyed being together with her family and celebrating the holidays. Her faith in Christ was very important. She had the ability to gather her family around her, and she will be most remembered for her unique infectious giggle.

Jean is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Buzard, mother, Honey Buzard; and brother, Thomas Buzard. Jean is survived by her husband, Frank Dittman; sons, Frankie Dittman (Tina) of Blanchard, OK, Chris Dittman (Julie) of Olive Branch, MS, and Jeff Dittman (Mary) of Stonewall, LA; grandchildren, Shelby Dittman, Josh Dittman, Chase Dittman, Riley Dittman; great-grandchildren, Asher Whitaker and Margret Whitaker; sisters, Lynn Greiff, Susie Sarier, and Gail Barger; and sister-in-law, Sue Buzard.

The Dittman Family would like to personally thank the staff of Willis-Knighton North’s CCU Unit, as well as the Intensive Specialty Hospital Staff.
