Clara Wanda Peacock, born October 1, 1944, in Pelican, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2025, in Bossier City, Louisiana, at the age of 80.
Clara was a devoted homemaker who cherished her family above all else. Known for her boundless love and vibrant spirit, she was truly the life of the party. Clara was born into a large family as the youngest daughter of William Henry Peacock and Bessie Durr Peacock. She grew up surrounded by the love of her ten siblings.
At the age of 18, Clara married and began her greatest joy—raising her five children: Earl Anthony Rambin Jr (Karen), Robert Paul Rambin (Tracey), Larry Bryan Rambin (Brandy), Kimberly Gayle Brown (Ricky), and Teresa Kay Pickett (Scott). Her children were the light of her life, and she extended that love to her 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Clara spent her later years at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Bossier City, where she brought joy to everyone with her singing and Godly spirit. She never met a stranger and made sure everyone felt loved. Clara was crowned Mardi Gras Queen during her time there, a testament to her lively personality. She loved watermelon, Coca-Cola, and dancing the Bunny Hop at every celebration.
She is survived by her children; sisters, Glenda Peacock Haire and Barbara Peacock Frisk; brother, Clifton "Willie" Peacock, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Paul Ray Peacock, “Snapper” Peacock, Bill Peacock, and Jerry Peacock; sisters, Pat Bridges, Bet Bridges, and Louise Birdwell; granddaughter, Anna Kate Rambin, and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM followed by services at 11:00 AM. The burial will take place at Sloan Cemetery in Mansfield, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Scott Shirley.
Honoring Clara as pallbearers will be Chad Rambin, Chase Rambin, Andy Pickett, Anthony Brown, Alijah Brown, and Cody Brown.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Heritage Manor Bossier and Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
