Clara Shuler Ruple

Minden, LA Clara Shuler Ruple went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 1, 2020. Clara was born to Ed and Irene Shuler on October 18th, 1947 in Minden, Louisiana. She was a life- long resident of Minden and a former owner of Shuler's Dixie Dandy and Minden Market. She was also a member of First Baptist Church. Clara was most commonly known as Granny and she loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and husband of 53 years, Butch Ruple. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother Ronnie Shuler. She will be greatly missed and is survived by her husband Butch Ruple, son Todd Ruple and wife Christie, Daughter Penny Austin and husband Don, brother, Mike Shuler and wife Shirley, grandchildren Jordan Newell, Peyton Brown, Drake and Teal Austin, great grandchild William Newell and several nieces and nephews. Family would like to thank the many staff members of Minden Medical Center. A memorial service will be held later in the year due to the pandemic. Family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Minden St. Jude or Holly Springs Baptist Church Building Fund.
