Ephesians 3:20 Be completely humble and gentle, be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Our dear sweet aunt was 101 years young when she was called home to meet Jesus. Today she is no longer in pain, and we have been blessed to share her beautiful smile with everyone she met. Every time we hear that verse, we think of her. She was one of God’s very special disciples.
Claudie Belle Choate was born in Mira, Louisiana on March 8, 1923, to Guy and Louella Choate and passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Claudie always lived a very simple, Godly life. She never married, never left her home in Mira, Louisiana until she had to move to Shreveport because of her health. She worked, went to church and took care of her parents. She inspired all who met her and was the most contented person we knew. She was humble, she was gentle, she was patient. If you have someone in your life like our sweet aunt, thank God for bringing such a wonderful example of Christian love into your life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Louella Choate, her sister, Winnie Dale Choate Carey and husband, Floyd Harve Carey, Jr.; Clyde Choate and wife, Juanita and their daughter, Carol. Left to cherish her memory is her loving nephew, Floyd Michael Carey and wife, Pam; nieces, Lynne Carey Givens and husband, Tim, Denise Carey Earnest and husband, Ron, Diane Carey Sexton and husband, Mark; and many loving great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Claudie Belle will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Munnerlyn Cemetery in Ida, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Mimi McDowell.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Heritage Manor South, her sweet caregiver, Kathy Morris and the Life Care Hospice nurses and caregivers. The family would also like to thank all her faithful and loving friends from Mira, Louisiana.
