Clay Charles Brown, Jr.

SHREVEPORT, LA - Graveside services for Clay Charles Brown, Jr., 70, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 2016 at NWLA Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Kelly Berne. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home on Sunday, January 31, 2016. Charles was born on August 29, 1945 in Commerce, TX to Clay C. Brown, Sr. and Gladys Geneva Parker Brown and passed away on January 25, 2016. Charles proudly served his country in the USAF. He enjoyed acting and played opposite of Ella Fitzgerald in a play. Charles loved his dog Watson with all of his heart and all of his soul. He had a special love for all animals. Preceding Charles in death were his parents and niece, Tracy Pardue. Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Paula Flynn and husband, Don, and Susan Brown; one brother, Richard Brown and wife, Marsha, along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to say a special thanks to University Health MICU staff, Overton-Brooks VA Medical Center ICU staff, and a special thanks to LisBeth Johnson for all the care, support and love given to Charles.
